There's a simple procedure I follow that works every time. Even if it's slightly off level I don't have any issues with realigning it and sliding the pins in. Primarily I do it in the shed where it rests on a level concrete pad, but I also drop it in the yard or the gravel driveway. I have the BX2350 with the 243 FEL and R&R it on a regular basis. I'll copy in the R&R procedure below from a post I wrote over a year ago. Your FEL uses the same pin and stand configuration, just on a larger scale.
That should come off using the same procedure as my LA243.
